At what age can I start learning Music?

There is really no age bar for learning music. At Aspire Music, the minimum age to start is 7 years for Keyboard, Drums and Western Vocal classes, 8 years for Guitar and Violin classes with no upper age limit.

Is there a prerequisite for enrolling in Aspire Music?

Your interest is the only prerequisite. You may walk to our nearest branch and enroll yourself. For Western Vocal classes alone, we need to verify your vocal strength, hence an audition before joining is a must.

What is the timing of classes at Aspire Music?

Monday through Sunday we have classes on all days. There are fixed slots for one hour each from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 0930am to 0130pm on weekends. We are very flexible in giving you the slots that you expect – subject to availability.

Should I own an instrument and bring it to the class?

We provide instruments for everyone- Separate instruments for each student and individual attention is our mantra. However, once your interests are established, you may want to have your own instrument at home for better practice – practice makes one perfect!!!

Do I have to attend the international grade exams compulsorily?

But the aim of taking an examination is to indicate that you are making progress. It also gives you something to aim for, a focus for your work, and experience of playing in front of someone who isn’t your teacher or your parents. And many times, it is useful in case you are pursuing a career in music. Aspire Music helps you prepare for TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON, ABRSM, ROCK SCHOOL LONDON grade exams.

How long does it take to finish a grade?

It may take minimum 6 months to more than a year which depends on the Student’s Interest, regular to the classes and practice at home.

Do you teach Music Theory and is it important to learn it?

Yes. We do teach Music Theory along with practical knowledge as we want our students to learn music rather than just playing the instrument. The knowledge of Music Theory is useful when the students plan to create their career in Music Industry
